Delivery
FREE Delivery to UK Mainland only. International Delivery Available subject to Charge.
The Little Clothes Horse offers Free Standard 2nd Class Royal Mail Delivery to addresses within the UK Mainland only. Where a customer requires a faster rate of delivery, this will be available but it will be subject to a charge, to be agreed and paid for prior to goods being dispatched.
If a customer chooses to pay for special next day delivery, an order must be received before midday on the day of placing an order. An additional charge may be applicable for any orders being placed on a Friday, as Special Delivery on a Saturday usually incurs a higher charge.
Please note that delivery charges will apply to addresses outside of the United Kingdom Mainland and the cost of this will be dependent on the weight of goods or where applicable where international charges are applied. The cost of postage will be determined and the customer notified and only once the delivery and costs of goods have been paid for, will the goods be dispatched.
We aim to dispatch your goods within 48 hours from receipt of your order, subject to stock availability. If we anticipate there being a delay with your order, we will contact you and keep you informed as soon as possible. Please note that some items are handmade to order, or have to be ordered in from a third party and so there may be a longer period before goods are dispatched. Where this is applicable it will be noted in the product description for an item. Where items are ordered for a special occasion and timescales are tight please advise us of this in the additional information section of your order and we can advise on what alternative delivery options are available.
In circumstances where an item is returned to us as ‘undelivered’ by Royal Mail or a Courier Service, the buyer is responsible for any re- postage fees incurred.

We are committed to safeguarding our customers' privacy and we adhere to the strict rules of the Data Protection Act to ensure that any of the personal details that we hold are protected from unauthorised access. We also use a Sagepay secure payment gateway for all financial transactions on our website, so you can rest assured that your payment details are dealt with in a secure and confidential manner and these details are not available to any member of our staff team at any point in the sale transaction.
Placing an Order
Once you have submitted an order on our website you will receive an automated order confirmation via email. Please check this order confirmation carefully and in the unlikely event, notify us of any incorrect details of this order immediately. Once that your order has been dispatched we will notify you of this again via email.
You have the right to cancel your order within 7 working days from the day that the order confirmation email is sent to you, under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. Please note that to exercise your statutory right to cancel, your notification of cancellation must be in writing.
For your own security, we are not able to take payment via telephone, only via our secure payment gateway at our online shop.
Tax and Charges
VAT is not currently chargeable on children’s clothing, however some non-clothing items are subject to a VAT charge of 20% and this will be included in the sale price that you pay.
For deliveries to Non EU countries, the appropriate customs label will be attached and the buyer will be liable for any import tax or handing fee from the relevant post office where applicable.
Returns
If you are not completely satisfied with your e-purchase, you can return any item to us in its original condition, with attached tags and labels, within 14 days of receipt. Exchanges and / or refunds will only be granted within this timescale.
We recommend that you send your returns by recorded delivery; this will ensure that if your parcel gets lost in the post then you will be able to claim back the value of the goods lost. The Little Clothes Horse will not accept responsibility if the parcel being returned gets lost or damaged, as the goods remain your responsibility until they reach us and have being signed for. Always retain your proof of postage. Goods are returned to The Little Clothes Horse at your own expense.
Please enclose a copy of your invoice and a brief covering letter explaining the reason for the return and whether a refund or replacement is preferred. If you do not include all the required paperwork then the refund or replacement of your goods may be delayed or not completed.
We will email you to confirm when your refund has been processed. You will receive your refund credit, or exchange order (when in stock) within 1 - 2 weeks after we have taken receipt of the returned goods. Please note that when returning goods on which you have received a discount or offer, that discount or offer will no longer apply if you fall below the discount or offer threshold and the refund will be adjusted accordingly.
Please note that items bought as gifts that you require a refund or exchange for can only be given to the original payer by the original means of payment.
